Sport
Sport provides the opportunity for physical development and teamwork and is regarded as an integral part of education at King’s for pupils right the way through the School from 3 years upwards.
King's enjoys extensive sports facilities with large playing fields both on The Alps and The Paddock at the heart of the School. The sports hall, used by Pre-Preparatory and Nursery pupils, contains a wealth of gymnastic equipment, as well as netball and badminton courts. The millennium project saw the completion of a twenty five metre indoor heated swimming pool used by our pupils during curriculum time.
In the Pre-Preparatory School, pupils undertake lessons in gymnastics, music and movement/dance, or games including Hockey, Rugby and Netball twice a week. Swimming lessons commence in Year 2, although pupils may join the swimming club in Year 1. The Early Years curriculum involves a vast amount of physical activity in the form of structured and free-flow outdoor play, and use of the large sports hall in Chadlington House.
