A Century Each – and Not Out!

Two King’s staff members achieved quite a feat at the end of last term. Mr Richter, teacher of Russian and German, and Mr Vinall, Head of Woodwind and teacher of Clarinet and Saxophone, each celebrated the completion of 100 terms of teaching at King’s – that is 33 (and a third!) years of teaching.

Principal, Mr Walker said “I would like to say an enormous ‘thank you’ and ‘congratulations’ to both Brian Richter and Graeme Vinall on their completion of 100 terms at King's. To have one colleague achieve this is marvellous, to have two in the same term is momentous!”

Mr Richter and Mr Vinall began their careers at King’s in 1982. Other notable events of that year include the birth of Prince William (and his future wife the Duchess of Cambridge), the Falklands War and the launch of the Commodore 64 computer!
