KENT SELECTION FOR RECORD BREAKER JEMIMA

KENT SELECTION FOR RECORD BREAKER JEMIMA

King’s Rochester Preparatory School pupil Jemima Partner in Year 7 has made an exceptional start to 2018 by being selected to represent Kent Schools at the Inter Counties Race in March.

Over the past 18 months, Jemima has found a passion for athletics. She showcased this at the last sports day where her determination led her to setting the new School record for the 300m race.

After missing out on the trials for the Kent Schools Athletics Association Cross Country Championships, Jemima’s coach, believing she would do well for the Association, applied on her behalf to the Medway Team asking if she could be entered in the final as a ‘wildcard’.

Medway accepted the entry and on Saturday 20th January, Jemima ran for them at the Championships held at Duke of York Military School, Dover. She managed an excellent 14th place out of 153 runners and came 2nd for the Medway team.

Her performance and ambition during the championships was recognised and she has now been selected to represent Kent Schools at an Inter Counties race in Sussex on March 24th.

Congratulations Jemima.
