AUDIENCE TREATED TO JAZZ AT ITS FINEST

On Thursday 19th April 2018 King's Rochester welcomed the award winning Austrian Jazz band ‘Month of Sundays’ to School Hall for our annual Jazz Night.

The band made up of Alexander Kranabetter - horns, Philipp Harnisch - alto saxophone, Ivo Fina - guitar and Johannes Wakolbinger - drums joined the King's Jazz Band for an afternoon of workshops and live sessions. 

The evening concert begun with the pupils putting their new skills into practice with some exceptional renditions of jazz favourites. The second half saw 'Month of Sundays' delight the audience with their own compsitions.

The evening culminated with a joint performance between the King's Jazz Band and 'Month of Sundays'.

Event organiser Frau Neubauer praised the performance saying that the audience had "heard jazz at its finest".

All proceeds will be shared between the Pre-Prep chosen charity, ‘Little Lights Orphanage’ in India and ‘Porchlight’, the charity for the Senior School.
