King’s Rochester is celebrating another year of top A level results!
Just under a third of all passes were in the coveted A* and A brackets and 58% were top grades A* to B. 83% of all passes were A* to C. This year the 40% of students in the grammar stream at this broad-ability school achieved an average points score per pupil equivalent to three A* grades each. Pretty impressive results from a broad-ability intake!
With such a set of results, it is no surprise that star performers Jessica Xu (A*AAA), outgoing Head Girl, Georgia Luckhurst (A*AA), Il Ho Park (A*AA) and Francesca Moorman (AAA), will take up places at top universities - UCL (Civil Engineering), St Andrew’s (English), Imperial (Biomedical Engineering) and St Andrew’s (Biology and Geography) respectively. Top achievers, Abbey Thornhill (A*A*B), Deputy Head Girl, Sasha Napoli (A*AB), and Jourdain Grech (AAAB) will, likewise, take up degrees reading Economics, Fine Art and Mathematics. Well done to all!
In addition, Alexandra Lucinschi deserves particular mention. She joined King’s just four years ago from Moldova, gained an astonishing five A levels in Art (A), Russian (A), Spanish (B), French (B) and Business Studies (C) and will go on to read Modern Languages at UCL.
“This has been another impressive year for our A level results”, said Principal, Jeremy Walker Principal of this popular independent school. “But, as a high-achieving, broad-ability school we are just as interested in the value we add to a pupil’s results. Not everyone can be a straight A-grade student but if a pupil is taught in ways which help them to better understand their subjects, then they will improve and realise the best results they possibly can! My hearty congratulations go to all our hardworking students and their talented staff for such an impressive set of results today”.
