COMMENDED PERFORMANCE BY FINALIST ANNA

Music Scholar Anna Crawford performed as a finalist in the Rotary Young Musician of the Year competition held at the Welsh College of Music and Drama on Saturday 6th May.

After winning the Regional Young Musician of the Year in 2016, Anna received a place in the National Young Musician of the Year where she faced stiff competition from 7 other finalists from across the country.

Anna was commended by the judges for her excellence in performing Elgar’s Concerto 1st Movement and En Forme De Habanera by Ravel after which they placed her third.

Director of Music at King’s Rochester Doug McIlwraith praised Anna for “her remarkable level of talent at such a young age, Anna is a truly dedicated musician”
