2016 has been another great year for A level successes at King’s Rochester but there will be double celebrations tonight in one household!
Twins, Francesca and Charlotte Moorman, who have been at King’s since Year 7, have today, scooped a double-helping of top grades and are looking forward to taking up places on prestigious degree courses in September – at opposite ends of the country! Francesca’s three A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Geography will take her to St Andrew’s to read for a degree in Biology and Geography whilst Charlotte’s A*BB in Art and Design, History of Art and Religious Studies have enabled her to take up a placement at Christies Auction House where she will also study for her BA in History of Art and Art World Practice.
Jeremy Walker, Principal of this popular, broad-ability school, said, “My hearty congratulations go to Charlotte and Francesca today and to all our hardworking students and their talented staff for such an impressive set of results.”
He continued, “This has been another good year for King’s A level pupils and we are very proud of them all. One of the major strengths of King’s is our commitment to ensuring that each individual pupil obtains the results at A level to get them on to the best course in the best place for them to study their chosen subjects for their future careers. For some this could be a place at Oxbridge, a top Russell Group university such as Durham or Bristol, or one of the newer universities offering more vocational degree courses; for others it may be a prestigious, specialist institution like the Royal College of Music or Christies. Good luck to all our talented leavers this year. I have no doubt that they will continue to thrive as they enter Higher Education”.
