So many clubs, so little time! In addition to offering a broad academic curriculum with excellent music, drama, language and sporting opportunities, the children at King’s Pre-Preparatory School can also choose from a whole host of clubs and activities outside the classroom, both at lunchtime and after the end of the School day.
Each term there is a different set of clubs and activities from which Pre-Preparatory pupils may choose. They vary according to the interests of the teachers who are running them and we also try to establish a club if children identify a new and appropriate area of interest. There are opportunities for children to have fun and try out new sports and be physically active in free-of-charge after-school activities such as Maypole Dancing, Short Tennis, Yoga, Football, Netball and Outdoor Fun Clubs run by Pre- Preparatory School staff. Specialist Games staff from the Senior and Preparatory sections of the School, support games teaching in Years 1, 2 and 3, thus aiding transition and liaison between the Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory School sections and the early acquisition of team sport and match-play skills. Children compete in matches and swimming galas against other schools from Year 3 onwards.
Other clubs may include Ocarina, Cookery, Chess, German Computer, Puzzles and Games, iPad and Choir.
Pupils can also join Dance and Ballet lessons, or Irish Dancing classes during their time in the Pre-Preparatory School for a small additional fee, as well as individual or group instrumental tuition.
