King’s Rochester is easily accessible from Kent and the South East and 30 minutes by train from central London. The School has a beautiful location in the heart of Rochester.

By Train

Rochester Station is just 37 minutes from St Pancras International train station, 47 minutes from London Victoria and 30 minutes from Bromley South. The School is a 10 minute walk from Rochester Station, or a short taxi ride (approximately £4).

80 minutes by rail from Gatwick Airport - Gatwick to Victoria, change trains Victoria to Rochester

120 minutes from Heathrow Airport - via London Underground (London Underground/subway) to Victoria Station or Heathrow Express to Paddington Station and then Underground and surface train to Rochester.

10 minutes from Ebbsfleet International Station (From the Channel Tunnel).

By Road

From Heathrow

Via the M4/M25/M20 motorways and A229 to Rochester. Journey time is approximately 90 minutes.

From Gatwick

Via the M23/M25/M20 motorways and A229 to Rochester. Journey time approximately is 55 minutes.

From the Channel Tunnel

Via the M20 and A229 to Rochester. Journey time approximately is 40 minutes.

From Channel Ports

Dover via A2/M2/A229 to Rochester. Journey time approximately 50 minutes.

Folkestone via M20/A229 to Rochester. Journey time approximately 60 minutes.

From London

Follow the A2 until you reach the junction with the M2. Do NOT follow the M2, but take the left-hand fork into Rochester and Strood. Keep in the middle lane over Rochester Bridge. Straight on at traffic lights at the end of the bridge. First right across the dual carriageway (signposted Castle and Cathedral). Continue across the High Street and follow the road between the Castle and Cathedral. Satis House will be on your right at the top of Boley Hill, or follow the road to your left for Main School Yard.  Please note that on Saturdays the High Street is closed to traffic on Saturdays. On this day, stay in the right hand lane on bridge and take the first right onto the Esplanade. Take the immediate first left onto Castle Hill and turn right at the bottom of the hill. Satis House will be on your right at the top of Boley Hill, or follow the road to your left for Main School Yard. 

From the North

Join the northern section of the M25 at the most convenient junction and travel towards and over the Dartford Crossing. Take the A2 turn-off signposted Canterbury. Follow the A2 until you reach the junction with the M2. Do NOT follow the M2, but take the left-hand fork into Rochester and Strood. Keep in the middle lane over Rochester Bridge. Straight on at traffic lights at the end of the bridge. First right across the dual carriageway (signposted Castle and Cathedral). Continue across the High Street and follow the road between the Castle and Cathedral. Satis House will be on your right at the top of Boley Hill, or follow the road to your left for Main School Yard.  Please note that on Saturdays the High Street is closed to traffic on Saturdays. On this day, stay in the right hand lane on bridge and take the first right onto the Esplanade. Take the immediate first left onto Castle Hill and turn right at the bottom of the hill. Satis House will be on your right at the top of Boley Hill, or follow the road to your left for Main School Yard, which will be the first road on the left.  

If travelling on the M20, leave at Junction 6 (Chatham A229). At the roundabout take the left-hand lane (signs for Chatham) and travel up Blue Bell Hill, keeping in the left hand lane. Take the second exit off the roundabout and go down the hill. Turn left at the lights – signposted Borstal (B2097). About three miles from the start of the B2097, some almshouses appear on the left, and about half a mile further on the road takes a sharp right-hand turn marked "All through traffic". At this point turn left into Vines Lane. Turn right at the T-junction at the end of Vines Lane into St Margaret's Street. Take the next right into The Precinct and Main School Yard or continue past The Precinct along St Margaret’s Street and take the next left (where the road forks and turns sharply right) for Satis House.

From the East

Join the M2 at the most convenient junction towards Maidstone. Leave the motorway at Junction 3 (A229 Blue Bell Hill) towards Chatham and Rochester. At the next roundabout follow signs for Borstal (B2097). About three miles from the start of the B2097, some almshouses appear on the left, and about half a mile further on the road takes a sharp right-hand turn marked "All through traffic". At this point turn left into Vines Lane. Turn right at the T-junction at the end of Vines Lane into St Margaret's Street. Take the next right into The Precinct and Main School Yard or continue past The Precinct along St Margaret’s Street and take the next left (where the road forks and turns sharply right) for Satis House.
