KRSC Plays Host to LTA Tennis Tournaments

On the weekend of April 18th and 19th, King’s Rochester Sports Centre was delighted to host several LTA tennis tournaments. The Centre’s brand new LTA-standard tennis courts saw players from across southern England play county-standard tennis in four Grade 4 Under 12 and Under 14 LTA events. Some of the boys and girls who played are ranked within the Top 50 in Great Britain and within the top 5 in their county.  Families, coaches, other tennis enthusiasts and Kent LTA representatives enjoyed two full days of excellent tennis in the Kent County Summer League tournaments and the finals of the Kent County Winter League Club Team event.

The tournament winners of Kent County Summer League events were:
U14 Boys - Luca Pevan (from Rochester)
U14 Girls - Phoebe-Mirelle Ecuyer-Dale
U12 Boys - Alexander Ceban (from Maidstone)
U14 Girls - Kristina Paskauskaite

Winners of the Kent County Winter League Club Team Finals were:

U9 Girls: Canterbury (winning against Wye and Gravesham)
U10 Boys: Bexley (winning against Wye)

Jeremy Walker, King’s School Principal, and Steve Holmes, LTA, made the presentations to the winners with prizes donated by Glenn Harrold. Glenn Harrold is a British hypnotherapist, songwriter and author of self-help books.

The Centre will again be hosting tournaments for the Boys and Girls Under 14 County Summer League this weekend, 25th and 26th April, one of 14 LTA events that will be held this Summer. For more details, please contact the Centre on 01634 818422.
