Edward Hyde, Form 3W, Cathedral Chorister and King’s Music Scholar has won through to the Final of the Young Musician of Medway competition. Edward will be playing the trombone and singing in the final which will be held on Friday 22nd April at The Brook Theatre, Chatham.
Edward is the youngest finalist in this year’s competition and one of the youngest ever since the start of the annual competition 27 years ago.
The competition for students of minimum Grade 7 standard gives talented musicians the opportunity to share their enjoyment of music. Edward’s recital, along with the other seven finalists, will be to a panel of three judges as well as an audience in the theatre. We wish Edward well as he represents King’s Rochester on the 22nd April.
