Mr Rumley has been coaching small-bore shooting to cadets at King's Rochester for more than ten years to date. He has seen many rounds (shots) fired down many Ranges including our own Paddock Range, but he has never seen a group of five rounds shot quite so accurately as the one Sophie Guillemot achieved on Monday 15th March this year.
Sophie was using the single shot No. 8 rifle, using .22 ball ammunition, and she was firing from the prone (lying down) position. Firing her rounds at a distance of 25m in poor light conditions, she managed a "1mm" group (meaning that the distance between any of the holes made by the rounds on the target paper was no greater than 1mm, with the appearance of just one big hole!
Well done Sophie!
