This resulted in him being selected to throw for Kent Schools the following week at the South East Schools Inter Counties Championships. Here he threw 54.62m, which is considered a UK national standard throw. This performance achieved a silver medal and a place in the Kent team in the upcoming English Schools Championships in Gateshead between the 10th and 11th of July. The English School National Championships are the 4th largest athletics event in the world and he is looking forward to having the opportunity to compete in them for a second time.

Good luck Sonny!
