Temi, a pupil in the Lower Fifth, recently gained a place in the National Youth Training Choir and participated in his first course this Easter. Temi was one of only 150 singers aged 14-18 in the UK to gain a place in the choir, who spent a week based at Rossall School on the west coast of the Midlands, learning music by Monteverdi, Gabrieli, Brahms, Brooks, Macmillan, Esenvalds, Franssens and Poulenc.
The final concert of the week was performed in St. George's Hall, Liverpool. When he is 18, Temi will have the opportunity to audition for the National Youth Choir, which performs in a variety of professional-level concerts, including international tours, recordings and broadcasts.
Congratulations to Temi on this fantastic achievement and best wishes to him for all of his music-making at King's and beyond.
