The British Council films a GREAT Experience at King's

We were delighted to welcome back Anna Feng (OR) last week…and this time she brought a film crew with her!

Anna has been busy since leaving King’s in 2011, having just finished her graduate degree at UCL following her undergraduate degree at Imperial College, London. She was recently invited to participate in the filming of the GREAT Experience videos on behalf of the British Council China office. The British Council is a partner in the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign, through which Britain’s strength in education, English language and arts is promoted internationally. Under the wider GREAT Campaign umbrella, GREAT Experience is a video campaign encouraging Chinese students and graduates from UK universities to share their unique UK experience with the Chinese students who are looking to study in the UK in the future.

A keen fencer while at King’s, Anna chose to undertake part of the filming for the Great British experience at her old School. Joined by King's Fencing pupil Chris Avraamides and ORs Michele Rayko and Christina Hanson  (who will soon be starting University to study Maths and History respectively) and under the tutorship of Mr Webber, Anna soon demonstrated the skills which saw her achieve the British Fencing Foil Grade 1&2 Awards in 2011.

The British Council film crew took some fabulous action footage of the match and then interviewed Anna about her life as a student in England including her time at King’s which was, she said, “the greatest experience I had during the time I was studying in the UK”.
