Titanic” is an emotional and memorable piece of theatre. The people you see in this show are real people they actually all sailed on the Titanic. 106 years later we are still moved by the stories of these people and the sensitive portrayal of the aftermath of the tragedy through Maury Yeston’s stunning score and Peter Stone’s accurate and sensitive book.

TITANIC the musical

by Peter Stone and Maury Yeston

Titanic is the perfect subject for a musical because it deals with hope and ambition and looking forward to anything that everybody ever dreamed of having: a new start, a successful career, a different life away from home. Everybody that boarded the Titanic in Belfast or Southampton more than 100 years ago had one thing in common, whether they were the Captain of the ship or in  1st, 2nd or 3rd Class, they all dreamt of a new life. The launching and sailing of the Titanic was a momentous occasion. The ship, the Titanic, came to symbolise everything possible and wonderful about the promise of the new free world of America.

You will enjoy an evening with the grand swell of a Broadway score, but will also be touched by the story and legend from 106 years and see that people are still the same and they are our ancestors, and this is a story of our own.

With a cast of 60, a crew of 20 and band of 24 this promises to be a stunning show and we hope you can join us and we look forward to welcoming you to King’s Rochester in March 2019.
