Year 10 (14+)

Pupils wishing to join King’s in Year 10 often visit  for the first time on an Open Day and then attend the Which GCSEs? Information Evening  usually held every year in early March, preceding the September of entry.

Pupils are invited to visit with their parents for a tour of the School followed by an interview with the Headmaster. They are also welcome to spend a Taster Day or two in School getting to know their peer group, staff and King's routines.

The primary focus in the Senior School is on academic attainment at GCSE and A Level without early specialisation. Pupils are expected to take 9/10 GCSEs and 3 subjects at A level before applying to University. Please see our Which GCSEs? booklet on this page for more information on the GCSE subjects taught at King's as well as advice and support available.
