Pre-Preparatory School ISI Inspection Report

The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) is responsible for the inspection of the 1,100 schools in membership of the Associations that make up the Independent Schools Council.  King’s Rochester was inspected by the ISI in January 2020 and we are delighted that all three parts of School were rated “excellent” in every area.  

In the Pre-Preparatory School inspectors found:

  • The quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements is excellent
  • Pupils’ Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills are well-developed
  • Pupils perform strongly in a wide range of areas both in and outside the classroom
  • Pupils of all ages/abilities apply themselves in all areas of school life to maximise their potential
  • Pupils develop high levels of competence in numeracy and apply their knowledge and skills effectively to other areas of learning
  • Pupils are intrinsically motivated and love to be engaged with school life
  •  Pupils achieve highly in music and a wide range of other activities that add to their educational experience
  • Pupils’ attitudes to learning are excellent. They love to give of their best and to be fully engaged in the learning process
  • The quality of the pupils’ personal development is excellent
  • Pupils’ appreciation and involvement in a culturally diverse community is excellent
  • Pupils demonstrate high levels of self-esteem and self-confidence
  •  Pupils display excellent social skills and benefit from being part of a community where everyone is valued
  • Pupils develop high levels of self-knowledge and self-esteem and a mature self-confidence
