Sixth Form Taster Afternoon 2021
King’s is a truly remarkable school and our Sixth Formers enjoy seizing every opportunity and embracing every challenge of their A-level studies.
King's offers a broad and varied A-level curriculum where pupils can tailor their learning to their future aspirations From English Literature to Latin, Spanish to Russian and Computer Science to Physical Education.
Some pupils may decide to take an Extended Qualification Project (EPQ). A self-led project which can take the form of an extended essay, artefact or a science project – the choice is yours. Pupils learn advanced research and study skills and have an individual Supervisor to guide and support them. Learn about our range of subjects with our Sixth Form Subject Forum.
King's is proud of its extensive co-curricular programme and each term a varying range of clubs and extracurricular activities are held at lunchtimes or after school. These include Art, CCF Shooting, Choir, The Duke of Edinburgh Award, ICT, Maths and Science and more.
King's Rochester warmly invites all pupils considering joining our Sixth Form in September 2021 to attend a Sixth Form Taster Afternoon.
As thing’s had to be a little different this year, our Open Morning, Sixth Form Subject Forum and Scholarship Information Event all took place virtually. If you haven’t visited them yet, we encourage you to take a look today as they offer a great insight into Life at King’s.
Our Sixth Form Taster Afternoon will run on Thursday 21st January 2021 from 1:45pm to 4:15pm.
This unique event will allow you to join virtually (via Google Classroom) a variety of A-Level 35-minute sessions, meet our teachers and your future classmates and learn more about what the course involves.
We will be hosting a wide-ranging timetable of 35-minute sessions of which you are free to join, however, I recommend selecting up to four choices and taking the time to visit each classroom for the duration of the sessions to fully embrace the calibre of teaching and the expectations of the course.
Once you have registered we will create you a bespoke timetable of sessions which will be sent out to you shortly before the event.
We will be holding a Whole School Open Morning on Saturday 8th May 2021 or you can book a private tour for you and your family with our Registrar Mrs Sue Webb on firstname.lastname@example.org or 01634 888590.
If you have any questions about the Taster Afternoon, our range of courses or Sixth Form at King’s, please do email our Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Miles on email@example.com
We are delighted to announce we will be offering Psychology as an A-level option from September 2021.
