Old Roffensians

The Old Roffensian Society exists to enable past members of the school to keep in touch with their contemporaries, and with the continuing life of King’s.

In addition to our comprehensive magazine, The Old Roffensian, we arrange and advertise a diary of both OR and School events and functions. We also maintain a database which allows us to keep members in touch with each other.

There are regular sports fixtures between OR teams and the School, with post-match hospitality. The Society is also keen to contribute to school projects such as supporting overseas sports tours, provision of equipment in School Hall and making grants to King’s leavers, going on to all forms of higher education.

Additionally, we support local causes, recently donating to Kent Blood Donors, Emmaus, maintenance of The Vines and restoration of the Medway Queen paddle steamer.

Among our functions, a dinner is held each year and is open to all members and provides an opportunity to honour retiring members of the School Common Room or to mark a School celebration. We also work with the School to provide the annual Commemoration Day.
