Friends of King's Rochester

The Friends of King’s Rochester is the name of our Parents’ Association without whom King’s would be a poorer place. The ethos of the Friends is to promote involvement in the social aspects of life at King’s for all family members.

They work tirelessly for the good of the School and their children, to provide funds for items which otherwise might not be possible to buy for the School. Regular events include our magnificent Fireworks Display in November,  Ladies' Luncheons, Murder Mystery Evenings and the Summer Ball.

Naturally, willing hands are always needed for events and we do appreciate that everyone has different time constraints and skills but if you would like to know more, or have any suggestions please contact us.

The Pre-Prep Supporters’ Group (PPS)

The Pre-Prep Supporters’ Group (PPS) is a group of parents who have children in the Pre-Preparatory School. The PPS supports this part of School by organising social and fundraising activities to benefit the youngest children at King's. The group is committed to providing the little extras which make our School even more special, for example the Easter bunny or the Spring Chicken who visit us each year, rugs for classrooms, presentation mugs or gifts at a celebratory tea party and fêtes for all the School to enjoy. We are incredibly grateful for the support that the PPS gives to us.

In recent years, the PPS has accumulated  funds to purchase a climbing frame for the children and they have recently fund-raised for many more playground improvements.  Regular enjoyable social events for parents are held too ranging from parents’ cricket matches to dinner dances.

PPS are always on the lookout for more helpers so, once your child is in School, please do contact the PPS chairman, details can be obtained from the Pre-Preparatory School office.
